FAQ

We run all aspects of our business to provide superior value and convenience to the customers we serve. Below are some of the questions we hear most often.

Do you use subcontractors?

No! The cornerstones of a good home improvement company are trust and quality. 100% of our installations are performed by uniformed full-time employees that specialize in glass block installation, window installation, and masonry. Building and installing glass block windows to the highest standard requires skilled craftsmanship, so our installers train and specialize in what we do.

How long will my installation take?

Almost 100% of our residential installations take only 1 day or less, including cleanup. We are committed to your convenience and do everything we can to make your installation process as low-hassle as possible.

Can you give me a quote over the phone?

We’d be happy to! You will be pleasantly surprised at the superior value and return-on-investment that glass block provides. Because we won’t be able to see the specifics of your home over the phone, we will give you a range so you can know where it will land within a couple hundred dollars.

Can I buy the windows from you and install them myself?

Yes, we’d be happy to custom-build your windows for you in our shop. We are a 1-stop shop for any glass block installation materials you need, including mortar, sand, grout bags, silicone, individual glass blocks, glass block accessories and much more. Visit glassblockwholesale.com for our full offerings and pricing. Glass block installation is no easy task though, so we do not recommend it for the inexperienced.

Can you repair my existing glass block window or vent? Can you install a vent or dryer vent into an existing glass block window?

Often yes, but sometimes no. Most glass block companies do not do any repairs, but we can do some depending on the construction and condition of the window. However, repairs are difficult and expensive, so it is often a better value to replace the full window and receive a lifetime warranty to back it up. We would be happy to come take a look and let you know what your options are.

What other services do you provide?

We also specialize in vinyl window installation, patio doors, tuckpointing repair, and egress window installation.

How much are your deposits?

The majority of our residential glass block jobs have deposits of only $100, or $200 for larger projects. For vinyl windows and commercial jobs, the deposits are an industry-standard 35-40%.

What types of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. For vinyl window jobs and large glass block jobs, we also accept financing through our credit partners Wells Fargo and Enhancify for the same price as cash.
